We are so excited to announce that the Mission has a new Executive Director Pastor Larry Otwell. In 2015, Pastor Larry Otwell joined the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission as General Manager and in 2016, Pastor Larry was appointed as Executive Director. Prior to the coming to work for the Rescue Mission, Pastor Larry Otwell was the owner of Cornerstone Disposal Service. He currently serves as the Street Pastor at Riverpark Church. Pastor Larry is married to Donna Early Otwell. They have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.  “Larry does an outstanding job of looking at the big picture… in bringing the business side and the spiritual outreach piece of the mission together to form a cohesive unit that is able to stand on its own” says Chad Erie, Chairman of the Mission Board of Directors.

Under Pastor Larry’s leadership, the Mission has unveiled a new Life Recovery Program that will help our guests recover their identity and break the cycle of poverty.

Rev. Henry Martin who has served as Executive Director for the last 28 years will continue to serve at the Mission in the role of Community Ambassador. Please join us in welcoming Pastor Larry!
