Winter Update 2025

The Mission has enacted our inclement weather protocol for several weeks and the weather is continuing to get colder and colder with even more severe winter weather in the forecast.

Our outreach and guest services team have been working round the clock to get our homeless friends off the streets and into safe shelter.

During these bitter temperatures, we will be doing intakes 24/7. We have plenty of beds and cots for anyone needing safe shelter from the elements.

If you or someone you know is out in these elements, please do not feel like you have to suffer outside in these deadly conditions. The Mission would be honored to assist you. You do not have to pass a drug test. All of our services are free. All you need is some way to identify yourself (and we have multiple ways we can do that if you don’t have a state ID).

For 70 years, the Mission has stood on the frontlines ready to meet the needs of our homeless neighbors. Our doors never close and we are never too full to make room for one more.

Want to help? Here’s how:

1. If you see someone on the streets or living in a camp, please DM us that location (for the protection of the person, please do not share in the comments) or email us at outreach@sbrescuemission.com. Our HOPE365 Outreach Team is reaching out to our homeless friends and we will share that information with them.

2. Help meet the needs of guests coming in out of the cold by purchasing items from our immediate needs list. Pick up items from our list at https://bit.ly/missionneeds and drop off at 901 McNeil St. or order items from our Amazon Wish List at http://bit.ly/missionamazonlist.

3. A gift today will save a life. Help welcome every person who comes to our doors with warmth, hope, a hot meal, and a safe place by giving today at ➡️ https://bit.ly/sbrmdonate.

4. Most importantly, please pray for homeless friends and neighbors and our team.

Please share!
