The Greatest Gift of All
Another holiday season has passed, but the joy and memories remain for our guests, volunteers, donors and staff. The holidays at the Mission are always filled with awe, thanks to your faithful support. You provided meals, gifts, supplies, time and so much more, blessing our guests and neighbors in need.
Your generosity made our annual Thanksgiving Day outreach a success, distributing 1,300 meals in just a few hours. Beyond the meals, you gave our guests the gift of family and fellowship, sharing meals, worshiping together, singing karaoke, laughing and celebrating as a community. Most importantly, you shared the love of Christ, the greatest gift of all.
But this isn’t just about the holiday season, what happens at the Mission goes far beyond Thanksgiving and Christmas. Every day, your support helps provide meals, shelter, case management and Christian foundation classes. Through our Life Recovery Program, lives are being transformed. This program offers more than temporary relief, it’s a path to lasting change. Our guests find healing, gain life skills, and, most importantly, rebuild their relationship with God, discovering their true identity and purpose in Christ.
The true gift isn’t found in the presents or decorations but n a renewed relationship with the One who makes all things new. It’s second chances, hope, healing, and celebrating the birth of our Savior with a new family. Thank you for making these moments possible and for transforming lives through you faithful support. Together we are sharing God’s love and making an eternal impact, you are changing our cities one life at a time.
P.S. Special thank you to Purpose Church for putting together the to-go meals for our Thanksgiving Day outreach, Giving BAK Foundation for smoking all of the turkeys this year, Louisiana Timber Partners for donating to provide a delicious dinner for our Mission Tree Party and Kingz Smokehouse and Grill for catering it. Because of our amazing community, we served 108 guests Thanksgiving dinner, 115 for Mission Tree Party and 109 for Christmas dinner.
